Scenic Lake Tour

	A short scenic drive from Piazza al Serchio takes visitors to the lakes Gramalazzo and Vagli Sopra, each lake has a fantastic backdrop with lovely walks to enjoy, plenty of photo opportunities. Free car parking for visitors and picnic tables from which to enjoy the spectacular views.
This area has two picturesque lakes, Gramalazzo and Vagli Sopra that can be visited on a circular route, each lake has a fantastic backdrop with lovely walks to enjoy. Starting from Piazza take the Via Corbella to Gramalazzo (7kms), Lago di Gramalazzo is held back behind a dam and is used for fishing, boating, kayaking and swimming. There are numerous benches to take a picnic on while enjoying outstanding views. Take the Gorfigliano road which heads on to Vagli Sopra then onto Lago di Vagli (10kms) which is once again man made, it is occasionally emptied which exposes the ruined village that was submersed to create the lake. www.youtube.com/watch?v=3oGNEZRPFVs

At Lago di Vagli there is a nice restaurant for panini and coffee or lunch from the menu ,all are well prepared and tasty. Plus side is the restaurant has spectacular views up, down and across the lake.
